Our Purpose

Friends of the Crescent are a group of people who live, work or study in the area and would like to help preserve and improve this beautiful asset to our city. Our aims are:

  • To cherish the physical environment of the Crescent and its immediate vicinity in order to enhance its beauty and amenity.
  • To encourage and enable legal and safe use of the park by the general public.
  • To ensure that the park and the Crescent area provide a welcoming and harmonious environment for everyone.
  • To engage with statutory bodies in the interests of the Crescent.

Joining Us

Membership is open to all - the more members we have, the more we can do to improve the area. Please join us using the Sign up form.. There is a nominal annual fee of £10. Organisations and businesses can also join for an annual fee of just £50.

Responsibilities Of Membership

  • Pay the nominal annual membership fee.
  • Share our aims as listed above.

Who We Are

‘Friends of the Crescent’ is a Community Interest Company. We are forbidden from making any profit and the directors may not use any of the company funds for personal purposes. The primary focus of all our activities is the furtherance of the interests of the Crescent environment and immediate area.
